And to build on this blend of comfort and speed, the frame is built from respectably light and rugged A1 SL Premium Aluminum with a geometry that's made to fit just right from the minute you get on the bike. - Working with our Body Geometry team, we designed a frame that strikes the optimal balance between comfort and efficiency. The A1 SL Premium aluminum construction pairs weight savings with rugged durability, while the rack, fender, and disc mounts give you an incredibly versatile package.
- An SR Suntour NCX fork features 60mm of coil-sprung travel that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain, while our Fitness Brain technology promotes more climbing and pedaling efficiency.
- Braking duties are handled by TRP Flow Set Control hydraulic disc brakes to ensure effective, consistent, and reliable power through any kind of terrain or condition.

Looking for a good bike for trail riding (primary paved, some gravel, little true off road but some). Have bought several "big retail store" bikes, hated most, the very highest end bikes there were decent - but kept having to replace components after a few months - Wheels bent all the time. Their top end bike was MUCH lighter than this bike, but I saw why - If you went over a small city curb the wheel would flex - Needless to say within a few weeks the wheel was out of round with no jumps, no off roading, no abuse - Other than 6"2' slightly overweight adult riding. I tried an "expensive" bike and found, per gps speed, I bike about 25% faster with no more effort - even though this bike "feels" much heavier picking it up. The components are significantly better, it handles better, etc. When you figure the maint included from the local bike shop, having a staff that knows how to handle the warranty (versus exchange, but out of stock, so you can't ride) it's clearly worth it if you can afford to pay all at once instead of every time you want to ride having to buy something / fix bike. Not to mention the bike's components are much better, handling better, etc. I assume this has FAR better bearings, cassette, etc. is why it's so much easier to peddle (and goes faster) but it's hard to comprehend it could be as big of a difference as it is. To confirm it wasn't just me I raced my son on my last bike, he is FAR faster than me - This bike I can beat him, if we switch bikes it's no longer a race, I'm just back in the distance.. It really baffles me that the bike can be so much better and not be obvious just looking at it / picking it up / feeling it inside the store.

I use my bike almost every day to go to the store, class and just for recreation. It is super light weight and the lock out feature is awesome! I was amazed how much faster the bike goes when the front fork is locked out, yet it is joy to ride on dirt and trails with the front suspension engaged. An overall great buy and an all around enjoyable useful bike!

Comments:
I have had this bike two months. I believe this is the best bike all round. I would recommend replacing the tires. After two months and 900 miles later, the tires will warp. Try 700x38c tires, plus, you will have a better time finding inner tubes for that size than 700x45c tires that come with the bike brand new. Other than that, perfect deal for[$]

Comments:
GREAT bike! I love the way it handles so smoothly on the pavement with the large smooth centered tires, yet at the same time feels extremely comfortable off trail with the knobs on the sides! James, Mike, Lars, and Bri were all very helpful in getting the bike set up and ready to go. Thank you and I would definitely recommend this to any of my buddies as it is an extremely fun bike to ride. :)
